2020 Haggen to Haggen Fun Run & Walk

We know the important role community activities play in your daily lives and we are proud that Haggen to Haggen has been a meaningful experience for the Bellingham community for the last 26 years. We also acknowledge and greatly appreciate the support of our partners and vendors that help make such events possible.
As always, the health and safety of our participants, staff and volunteers is important to us. We have been closely monitoring the developments and due to the growing concerns surrounding safety and the well-being of our community, Haggen Food & Pharmacy in conjunction with the Greater Bellingham Running Club (GBRC) has cancelled the 2020 Haggen to Haggen 5k Fun Run & Walk, previously scheduled for May 2. There are no plans to reschedule the event in 2020, but we look forward to continuing the tradition in 2021.

Description
Organized and presented by Haggen Northwest Fresh and the Greater Bellingham Running Club (GBRC), Haggen to Haggen 5k Run and Walk will be held Saturday, May 2. The course begins at Sehome Haggen, winds through several neighborhoods including downtown Bellingham, and ends at Meridian Haggen. At the finish line sponsors will be sampling great products Haggen has to offer. Shuttles will be available for getting back to Sehome Haggen starting at 8:45am.
Proceeds from this race support GBRC scholarship funding and provide shoe vouchers to low income high school athletes. Additional scholarship info available at https://gbrc.net/scholarships/.
Online registration will be available through April 29 at 11:59pm. THERE WILL BE NO DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION.
Race Day – Saturday, May 2
6:30am – Packet Pickup
Packet pickup begins at 6:30am. Please allow 20 minutes to get from packet pickup area to race start.There will be NO packet pickup the day before the race. Race packet includes: Bib, timing chip (set up at the start and finish for runners, walker are not timed), and tech shirt (if purchased online). A limited amount of shirts will be available for purchase AT THE FINISH LINE on the day of the race.
8am – Race Start
The race will start at Sehome Village Haggen. Runners and walkers will start together at 8am. View the course map HERE . Course will close at 9:30am. For the safety of all participants, no pets are allowed.
Race Finish
Prizes will be given to the top 3 male and top 3 female participants. Prizes provided by Haggen and Fairhaven Runners. Sponsors will be onsite at the race finish to provide samples for participants. Shuttles will be available for getting back to Sehome Village Haggen starting at 8:45am until 10:45am. Tech shirts will be sold at the finish line for $15 while supplies last.
