Event Description
Event Date: May 4, 2025 - 9 AM - 12 PM
This Bereaved Mother’s Day, May 4th, 2025, join Chasing the Rainbows for the Busting Bubble 5K Walk & Run—an event filled with heart, healing, and remembrance. Whether you participate in person at one of our event locations across various states or virtually, your involvement will help raise awareness and offer crucial support for those grieving the loss of a mother, infertility, pregnancy loss, or infant loss.
Why Bubbles?
Grief, like bubbles, comes in all shapes, sizes, and bursts unexpectedly. Every journey through grief is different, and just as bubbles reflect rainbows in the sunlight, they remind us of the signs and connections our lost babies might send. These beautiful, fleeting moments of light symbolize the love, memories, and messages that live on.
Purpose: To raise awareness and provide crucial support for those grieving the loss of a mother, infertility, pregnancy loss, or infant loss.
Supporting Survivors: 11 Daily, Free & Trauma-Informed Services
Your participation in this event directly supports Chasing the Rainbows' 11 essential, trauma-informed, free services that provide daily support to those grieving. Together, we’re making sure no one faces their grief alone, with these resources available for healing: Support Groups (4x a day, 17 every week), Peer Mentors, Trauma Therapy, Cry It Out Loud Podcast, Coping Care Packages, Mindful Movement, Online Private Chat Communities, Resources for Other Family Members, Perinatal Bereavement Training for Medical Units, Community Events, and In-Person Support Groups.
These services help provide constant support to those navigating their grief, ensuring they have the tools, connections, and healing resources they need every single day.
A Celebration of Life
This event is not just about walking or running—it’s a celebration of life. We’ll have live entertainment, vendors, and sponsors to make this day one filled with joy, remembrance, and healing. Together, we’ll create a meaningful experience that celebrates the lives of both those we’ve lost and those who continue to love and remember them.
The Wall to Remember
At every event location, a Wall to Remember will honor babies who are gone too soon. This wall is a visual tribute, a place for reflection, and a reminder that our lost little ones are always in our hearts.

Race Route
Take a look at the: Route Map! The trail is a mostly flat and easy course, featuring a mix of dirt and partially paved paths. To complete the full 5K, runners and walkers will need to complete the loop three times. Course will be clearly marked and volunteers will by along the course to assist with questions if needed. Restrooms are available along the course and near the start/finish line.
Strollers are welcome, but please note that the dirt paths may be slightly more challenging to navigate due to some rocky areas. If you’d prefer to avoid the dirt sections and aren’t concerned about official timing, you’re welcome to stay on the paved path instead.
