Join us for The 5th Annual Pack The Park 5k benefiting The Friday Food Pack Program.
This year we are offering a 5k Your Way to get you and the kiddos moving around the house, in the yard or for a quick walk around town. Skate, run, walk, skip, trampoline, kick a soccer ball there are hundreds of way to do a 5k. This is a virtual 5K, which means you can complete 3.1 miles or 60 minutes of exercise at your own pace however you like, it is totally up to you!
Did you know that eight minutes on a trampoline is about the same as a 15 minute run? During one hour of gardening you can burn over 200 calories.
Just complete 3.1 miles or 60 minutes of exercise between May 1st and May 8th. You can do it over multiple days or all in one.
Once you have completed the "5K", send us a photo or video of your accomplishments to email@example.com or #PTP5KYW and we will post to our facebook page.
All are welcome to participate in this event only paid participants will receive shirt and bib. Registration is $20 per person and we are offering a 10% discount ($2.00 per person) for three or more registrations. Must register by April 30th to receive a shirt.
The Friday Food Packs program provides supplemental food during the school year to students in the Lake Forest Park and Shoreline communities. Each registration provides a food pack to a student in our community!
Since 2015 Pack the Park Fun run has donated over $45,000 to the Friday Food Pack Program - that's 5,625 bags! Over 120 students a week receive food packs from the program – your participation will help ensure that during tough times like we are facing now, students will not have to worry about if they will have anything to eat during the weekends.
