Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce C-Trail Half Marathon/5K/10K/1K Fun Run for July 4th has been changed to a Virtual Run

To: Entrants of the 2020 C-Trail Run RE: Event changes
Dear Entrant, (If you have already ran your virtual race, you don’t need to do anything, you’re all set!)
Thank you for entering the 2020 C-Trail Run, organized by the Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce. When we postponed the event back in March, we were cautiously optimistic that the coronavirus pandemic would be in control enough to allow for the run to take place come July, and we could incorporate it into our Lake Stevens Old Fashioned 4th of July celebration being planned at the time. Since then, our governor has extended our ‘Stay Home, Stay Safe’ order, and laid out a 4 phase plan to get us back to a new normal. Unfortunately, under the most expedition timeline for each phase, an event such as the C-Trail Run would fall into Phase 4, which would not be implemented until after our rescheduled July 4th date. We have therefore made the decision to convert the event completely to a Virtual Run.
For the Virtual Run, you will run a course of your choosing at the length you signed up for initially, keeping track of your time. Once you have completed your run, you will send us your time, and we will arrange for you to get your finisher medal and, if applicable, t-shirt. Residents in the greater Lake Stevens area will be invited to the Chamber office, located inside the Lake Stevens Visitor Information Center in Lundeen Park to pick up their medal. All others will have medals mailed to them. Please
st complete your virtual run no later than July 31 .
If you would prefer not to do a virtual run, we offer the option to donate your entry fees to the Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce. These funds will assist us with operating expenses, allowing us to continue to serve the business community of the greater Lake Stevens, Washington area, both members and non-members, during this time of economic disruption. The Chamber is participating in county and statewide advocacy, connecting businesses with local, regional, and state leaders, and disseminating information about recovery and resiliency funding programs to assist small businesses outlast the economic disruption and get back to what they do best: operating the business they are passionate about.
We hope you find time to get out and do the C-Trail Run virtually and hope you will join us next year as we plan to be back to our traditional date. As an entrant to the 2020 event, we will be in touch with a special offer in the lead up to the 2021 C Trail Run, so watch your email box!
