Description
We run for good.
5K for the Fallen was founded in 2018 as a non-profit event, and now 501(c)(3) organization, to support family-friendly events that honor the Thin Blue Line, and the sacrifices of the Law Enforcement profession. Our goal is to celebrate the heroism of Police Officer’s and their families, especially when the ultimate sacrifice has been made. Additionally, we hope to foster community support and appreciation for local law enforcement agencies.
The 5K events that we support are always family-friendly. And while there is likely to be some friendly competition - and yes, awards! - every 5K skill level is welcome. Crawl, walk, skip, run, stroll, hop ... the choice is yours! In Orting, our race trail consists of both paved and gravel paths, as well as some trail-like terrain. It's a beautiful trek originating near the Orting Police Department, turning along and following the Carbon River, and winding through a residential area to the finish line in the City Park.
We'd love to meet you and your family, and look forward to your participation!

Beneficiary Information.
Each year the 5K for the Fallen Team considers and chooses recipients to share in the distribution of 100% of event proceeds. The non-profits, charitable organizations or individual recipients of funds must somehow be involved in supporting the law enforcement community, and have been, or are, involved in Officer Down situations in some way. When the scenario is such that we can directly support a family, or families, of Fallen or wounded Officers, we will do so.
Please visit and follow us on Facebook for more information, and to learn more about our 2020 beneficiaries!
Thank you for your support of 5K for the Fallen!
