Run, jog, or walk this 5 km loop or 1.0 mi out and back course for southeastern Washington’s only rescue and sanctuary for farm animals. This scenic 5km route with mountain and river views will take place on flat paved country roads starting and finishing at the animal sanctuary. Join us at the sanctuary after the run/walk to meet the pigs, donkeys, horses, ducks, roosters, and chickens you are helping to support. We will have a sanctuary tour after the run starting at 10:30am for all participants.
All registrants will receive a farm themed gift, button of support, and free access to the sanctuary. The top 3 male and top 3 female finisher of the 5km run will receive a prize.
All proceeds support the animals of the sanctuary, Noble Animal Sanctuary is a federally recognized non-profit. This year we have a fundraising option for participants. For those individuals that raise $100 or more you may choose to have your registration fee refunded (maximum $20). The top fundraiser will receive a gift the day of the race.
Race details: Check-in starts at 8:30am. The country roads have low traffic volume but as the course is not closed (meaning cars could be on the roads during the run) for safely reasons no strollers will be allowed on the course. Also, no dogs will be allowed on the farm property or on the run course. One aid station will be set up at the mid-way point on the 5 km course and will have water. Food (fruit and baked goods) and water will be available at start/finish for all participants (for human consumption only - no feeding the animals no matter how much they ask). Also, the weekend of the race is the Prosser Balloon Rally. Come early to Prosser and see the hot air balloons take off and glide across the sky before the race.
The run is USATF sanctioned.
