Event Description

The Resolution Run is a 5K run/walk and finish festival celebrating the start of the New Year, with an optional Polar Plunge into Lake Washington.

Free chili, hot chocolate, apple cider! ★ Over 60 divisional prizes! ★ Long sleeve shirt or medal! ★ Free kids dash! ★ Beer garden (21+) if New Years Eve wasn’t enough!

Polar PLUNGE
The optional Polar Bear Dive into Lake Washington is located just before the finish line. About 60% of runners chose the Polar Bear Dive. We will have two heated gender specific changing room tents onsite for participants to change into dry clothes. Polar plunge and “dry” 5k results scored separately.

Registration available online and in-store at Super Jock n Jill Green Lake.

  • Kid's Dash - Free! (Youth sized shirt $10)

Packet Pickup

Tuesday, December 30 from 2pm-6pm, and Wednesday, December 31th from 11am-3pm at Super Jock N Jill, Green Lake. Morning-of packet pickup available at the event starting at 9:00am.

All entries receive a long sleeve t-shirt with an option for medal (limited stock).

Finish Festival

Celebrate the New Year and your completion of the run/walk at the Finish Festival area. Included is a free chili feed, hot chocolate, cider and coffee, a free kids dash for kids 10 & under, a beer garden for those 21 and over and much more.

Kids Dash

Kids 10 & under can compete in the free Kids Dash event. Running a short distance and finishing at the official finish line of the 5K route, the free Kids Dash will provide a memorable experience for your child. Each participating child will receive a participant bib number to wear as well as a finisher's ribbon at the completion of their race.

Location & Course Map

The race takes place at the Magnuson Park Boat Launch, within Magnuson Park in Seattle. The course is mostly flat with a total elevation gain of 81 feet, with one small hill at 1.2 miles.

The course is a mix of asphalt and gravel.

Directions (Google Maps, Apple Maps): Navigate to Sand Point Way NE & NE 65th St. Turn into Magnuson Park on NE 65th going East. Follow the road to the water.
