April 6th, 2019, 8 AM (walkers may start at 7:00 AM). 13.1 mile point to point of rolling rural roads in forest with occasional views to saltwater inlets. This is a wonderful road course that will challenge and reward you. Start at Pioneer School and finish at the Harstine Community Hall. Shuttle available to get racers to start. Chip timed. Awards. Post-race refreshment. Entry includes finisher medal. Tech shirt for additional fee. Benefits community youth athletics.
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Please allow extra time in the morning to get out to the finish line, pick up your stuff at the Hall, and catch one of the two shuttles. The shuttles will depart at 7:10 and 7:40 and take you to the start. The Half Marathon starts at 8:00 AM.
If you are walking and want to start early, you will need to get your number at the finish and get over to the start by 7:00 AM. We will be there at the Hall about 6:15 AM to get you checked in.
We will take day of race registration beginning at 6:15 AM.
Parking at the finish will fill up in the lot and we will use the county road shoulders for additional parking. Obviously, we can't block the road or any other access...I am confident you all will figure out where to park your vehicle.
Aid will be available in the form of water and sports drink at approx. mile 3.5, mile 6.2, and mile 10.
We were out on the course yesterday, and gotta say, it is beautiful. Prepare for some showers and a significant endurance challenge.
Thanks again for you participation.
