Monster Dash 5K and Kids' Fun Run

Spokane's Premier Halloween 5K Race and Kids' Fun Run.  Bring your costume.  Bring your shoes.  Let's dash!

Join us for the 16th Annual Monster Dash 5K Race and Kids' Fun Run, held in beautiful Manito Park on Spokane's South Hill. Enjoy autumn leaves. Show off your look. Run with friends. Monsters welcome.

You must register by October 15th to be guaranteed a shirt.  If you miss this cut-off, you can look for extra shirts after the race but quantities will be limited and first-come first-served.

Bib and T-Shirt Pickup available on October 26th from 1-4pm at Fleet Feet in Kendall Yards.

Race Day - Sunday October 27, 2024

9:00am - Day-of bib and t-shirt pickup at the Lower Manito Park Picnic Shelter.

10:00am - The starting horn sounds to kick off the 5K Race. Dash!

11:00am - The Kids' Fun Run begins. Move those monster toes!

The Fun Run is offered at 1-mile, half-mile, and quarter-mile distances, each ending with candy goodie bags as kids cross the finish line. Grownups are welcome to walk or run next to their children on the entire course.

The 5K Race will be chip timed. Many parents complete the 5K on their own, then meet their children for the Fun Run. We love a family dash!

There will be prizes for overall winners and ribbons for age category winners.

All proceeds from the race are donated to Active4Youth, a local non-profit that believes that by teaching sports and introducing healthy activities to children at a young age, we can begin to address the alarming rise of childhood obesity, while providing children with a safe place to play after school. Its elementary running program is provided at no cost to children in Spokane Public Schools, West Valley School District, and Central Valley School District.
