Who doesn’t love cramming into a vehicle in the wee early morning hours with running gear, snacks, and your favorite people — all while knowing the van is only going to get more rancid as the day goes on?
Adventure awaits as your team piles into the vehicle like clowns at the circus, chasing miles, laughs, and the unforgettable chaos that only a relay can deliver.
Teams of 2, 3, 4, or 6 runners will compete for the coveted Rainier to Ruston spikes, awarded across multiple categories. And honestly? Everyone’s a winner here. Why? Because the finish line delivers exactly what you’ve earned: a craft beer garden, finish-line food, and a front-row view of one of the most iconic backdrops in the Pacific Northwest.
Look up and take in the stunner of Mount Rainier. Grab your victory photo at the famous bell stand with that mountain framed perfectly behind you. Then feel free to sprawl out, put your feet up, and rehash the stories of the epic relay that started near the base of Mount Rainier and finished on the cool, grassy waterfront in Ruston.

Create a TEAM
The Team Captain first creates the team and pays the registrations fees. The Captain is responsible for the full payment and the team can talk amongst themselves to square up payment with each other, please don’t ask us for help on this part of the fun!
During registration, pick your wave based on overall average team pace, use our spreadsheet calculator HERE (on the Wave Times page) to help you choose.
Here's how to create your TEAM:
- Click Sign Up to begin the registration process
- Enter in all participant information
- Select Yes under the question Would You like to join a Group/Team (if applicable; not all events have this question enabled)
- Select Create New Group/Team
- Select a Group/Team Type
- Type in a Group/Team Name
- Select a Group/Team Gender
- You may create an Group/Team Password
- Click Continue
After registration, the Captain will invite Team members to join, this is a good time to ask your runner for the funds.
How to Join a TEAM
Join a Team During Registration
- Click Sign Up to begin the registration process
- Enter in all participant information
- Select your event
- Answer "Yes" for the question "Would you like to join a Team?"
- Click Continue
- Select the group/team you would like to join from the drop down menu
- If a password is required, enter in the password your Group Administrator set.
Remember passwords are case sensitive.

Race Start: The race start is on AP Tubbs Road East
Take Highway 165 towards Carbonado
Turn right on Wilkeson Carbonado Road E.
Just after passing the cemetery, turn right on AP Tubbs Road E.
The race start is 1/4 mile on the right.

Arrival Estimator
The arrival estimator (on Course Maps page of website HERE). Insert your team's start time and the expected pace of each runner. It will calculate the expected arrival time of each runner and your average team pace. Please estimate the average pace of your team as accurately as possible. Print out a copy for use during the race and enter your actual arrival times as they occur. It will help you arrive in time for each exchange.
*Runners will not be eligible for awards if they start in a different wave time than the one for which they are registered.
The finish line opens at 2:00 PM!
Any team that arrives at the finish line before 2:00 PM will be disqualified!
We appreciate compliance, so we can reserve the earlier waves for teams that need more time to complete the relay.
We will not offer support or be set up for teams out running the course will be stopped at exchanges.

Silver City Brewing is our new beer sponsor. Each runner who wishes to receive a complimentary beer at the finish line.
We will also have assorted snacks available at the finish line!
Relay Rules
No vehicles 80" or wider or longer than 20'. No motor homes, buses, or limos are allowed on the course by any team or team support.
