Description

The 6th Annual Vancouver, Washington Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 in celebration of Ostomy Awareness Day. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)

 

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

9:00 a.m. Registration and Packet Pick-Up

10:00 a.m. 5K Run/Walk

 

REGISTRATION INCLUDES YOUR RACE T-SHIRT & BIB

A unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt and Bib are included with your registration fee.  We will do our best to provide you with the T-Shirt size you ordered or a similar size, however, this is no longer guaranteed. 

 

RACE COURSE

This 5k Fun Run will be held at SE MARINE PARK WAY & COLUMBIA WAY, VANCOUVER, WA. 

The exact route map will be included in your registration packets. 

 

PARKING

Is free and available on site.

 

PACKET PICKUP

Packet pickup will be at 9:00 a.m., October 1st at the race site.

 

PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to the top Male and top Female Overall Finishers, as well as to the top Male and Female Ostomates. 

 

OPTIONAL OSTOMY POUCH

Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch provided by Exclusive Diamond Sponsor Hollister. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on the pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies. 

 

CREATE OR JOIN A RACE GROUP/TEAM!

Once you’ve registered you also have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, pick to be on your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you! (Please note this is NOT a Team Fundraiser. To set up a Personal or Team Fundraiser, please go to the DONATE link.)

 

FUNDRAISING 

Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATE link at the top of this page. You can create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL address, personalize your fundraising message, and direct your friends and family to your page to join your team or sponsor you in your fundraising goal.
