Pedal the Peace Rides - Our Story
Pedal the Peace Rides began in 2019 as a competitive bike time trial fundraiser for the Rock Trail Coalition. Proceeds from that first event helped pave four miles of the Peace Trail. While the race was fun and competitive, it became clear the format limited long-term growth.
In 2023, the event evolved to better serve the cycling community. We added three social routes and opened the ride to cyclists of all abilities. Since then, participation has grown steadily, with many riders returning each year and bringing friends and family along.
What's New This Year

Rock Trail Coalition's primary goal in hosting this event is to encourage Peace Trail use. That is why we are only charging $10. However, it is also our biggest fundraiser each year. For those who are able, we ask that you give to our cause of building and maintaining great trails in Rock County. Thank you!

Try if possible not to park along Afton Road as that is the bike lane for our routes.

Lunch is available at The Friendly Village Tavern beginning at 10:30. Time your start and pace to take full advantage of these. In general, 50 milers should start early to finish on time. We will have a SAG support service. The number to call will be on your wrist band. Keep in mind that cell service is spotty in some areas. If you are not able to connect, flag down a fellow rider and ask them to let someone at the next rest stop know about where you are and what your problem is. The SAG vehicle will be driving the route also and will pass by eventually.
