Description
As the world watches the worsening crisis taking place in Ukraine, be a part of the solution. The Run For Ukraine Virtual 5k is your chance to help innocent civilians caught in the conflict.
Sign up to run a 5k (this can be part of a longer run/walk, but only those 3.1 miles and time will count!) at any point during the month of March. Run (or walk, skip, jump, etc.) anywhere you like. It could be a treadmill, your neighborhood streets, a local school track - this is entirely up to you! Enter your results on RunSignup before April 10, 2022 at 11:59PM and you'll receive an amazing medal depicting the Ukrainian flag to commemorate your accomplishment! (You will also have option to forgo a medal so that more of your entry fee goes to the folks who need it most!)
Charitable Beneficiary: 100% of the proceeds of this event are going to the Airbnb.org Emergency Shelter Fund, which provides funds for citizens who have been displaced, and allows them to secure free short-term housing.
Race Medal
If you choose to receive a race medal, it will be shipped to you after the racing period has ended. This is what your medal will look like!

He wants nothing more than to ignite that spark in the athletes that he coaches, so that they can hopefully share in some of the same experiences that he has.
About Up Nort Racing LLC:
Up Nort Racing, LLC was created by Brian Frain with a mission of producing high-quality running events throughout the state of Wisconsin. We aim to increase awareness and excitement about running by creating events that are fun, challenging, and exciting. We also look to further this mission by hosting runs in areas where there are not currently a lot of organized group events. Our races all adhere to a set of common principles that guide us in our decision making, which we refer to as our ICE Philosophy:
Inclusive: We want all our events to be inclusive. Many races are known to offer special treatment to “elite” athletes or have a reduced experience for those that finish at the end of the race. We are committed to providing the same experience for all runners, regardless of finish time. This means having enough supplies to support each runner during and after the race and providing the same level of enthusiasm for the final finisher as the first finisher.
Community: The goal of our races is to bring the community together. In highly polarized times, we can often put aside our differences in the name of recreation, athletics, and fun! We encourage seasoned runners to bring their friends to one of our races. We want children in the community to participate with their parents. Staging the events on major holidays like the 4th of July allows us to not only celebrate the bonds of family, but the bonds of our country and the things that we all share together.
Excitement: Believe it or not, we think running is fun! And we want to share the same excitement that we have for running with others. By providing a top-notch experience, great music, a fun post-race environment, and awesome medals for finishers, we know that our enthusiasm will rub off on those around us.
