Description
This fun trail run includes a Mini Marshmallow 1-mile kids run age 11 & under, 5K run & walk and 10K trail and a half marathon run along the park's scenic trails. There will be chip-timing for the 5K run,10K run & Half Marathon race with the help of Tortoise and Hare Race Management timing company.
The Half Marathon event will have a cut-off time of 3:30 hours for timing purpose. The event staff and volunteers will still be there for you from start to finish, but timing will not be provided if you finish after 3:30 hours.
The goal of this event is to introduce people to the state park and to raise funds to support ongoing and future Friends' projects at the park. You will run along scenic Mirror Lake, near sandstone cliffs, up and down steep hills (did we mention the hills?) and to the finish line where you can enjoy post-race food and beverages including s'mores around a campfire, making for a truly unique running experience!
The Friends of Mirror Lake State Park is a non-profit that is organized for the charitable and educational purpose of supporting and assisting Mirror Lake State Park. Some of the many projects that the Friends group helps with include the naturalist program, concerts in the park and candlelight ski and hike events. Future projects also include trail maintenance and development and accessibility improvements throughout the park. Funds raised during the fun run will stay at Mirror Lake State Park and help with these projects.

Event Details
Registration will be open on April 1 until September 29th, 2024 until the cap of 400 participants is reached. Participants who register after September 6th or same day register will not be guaranteed a race shirt. For data entry purposes, Same Day registrations will be accepted between 7:30 - 8:00am on Race Day for any of the timed events. Packet pick-up will be held on Run Day from 7:30am - 8:30am at Mirror Lake State Park Beach Shelter.

Goodies - T-shirts must be picked up day of the event. All event participants will also get post race food and beverages including s'mores by a campfire.

Awards - Top overall male and female 5K, 10K and Half Marathon runners will receive a medal for 1st through 3rd place, along with 1st place finishers in each age division. 2nd and 3rd place finishers will be recognized for each age division. All participants of the Mini Marshmallow 1-mile run will receive a participant medal upon completion of the race along with 1st through 3rd place finisher receiving medals.
Pets - For safety reasons, dogs will not be allowed at the event.
Park Stickers and Parking - Parked vehicles require a Wisconsin State Park admission sticker. Stickers can be purchased upon entry on Saturday. Daily passes for vehicles with Wisconsin plates is $8 or Annual passes are $28. Out-of-State rate are $11/day or $38/annual. Parking will be available within the park at specific locations. On Run Day, please follow the directional signs and look for our parking attendants to help get you to available parking. Please allow time to walk from parking areas to the starting line as races will start on time. Parking on the grass and along the shoulders of the road is not permitted.

The Mirror Lake State Park office is located on the north side of the Fern Dell Road and Hastings Road intersection.
