Wisconsin Hero Outdoors (WHO) works with Veterans and First responders to aide in suicide prevention by utilizing the camaraderie of outdoor activities to address the physical and mental health challenges brought on by the stresses of service.

The Route for the 2024 Belfrēdom 5K will take place on the lake country trail system. Starting from Chase bank parking lot directly across from Belfrē Kitchen. Athletes will complete the out and back run on the trail system with a small off shoot to allow for accurate distance of the event. You can view the route at the link below.

There will be one aid station on course with water and Gatorade.

Join us after the race for music from the band Ben Harold & The Rising and food and drinks from Steeple Chase Coffee + Cocktail & Belfrē Kitchen

Everyone who is registered by noon May 17th will be guaranteed a custom cotton unisex Belfrēdom t-shirt. After that, t-shirts will be available while online supplies last. Any extra shirts will be distributed after the race on a first come, first served basis.

The Top 3 Male and Top 3 Females for the 5K

The Belfrēdom 5K is walker, stroller and dog friendly!  Lace up your walking shoes and gather up your family members and join the fun while raising money for Wisconsin Hero Outdoors. Our only ask if those walking, pushing strollers, or bringing dogs please start near the back of the corral. All dogs must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after. 

Refunds are not permitted for any reason.
The event will be held unless severe weather occurs. In the event of severe weather, the race director may delay or cancel the event. If the event is canceled, there will be no refunds.
