Join Bike Fitchburg for their annual "Pick Me Up At The Border" bike ride, September 11th! The ride begins at 7:00pm and riders will travel 80 miles round trip along the Badger State Trail to the Illinois border and back.
If you prefer a shorter ride, you can do the round trip 50 mile round trip from Monticello, or 25 mile round trip from Belleville.
80 miles: Ride to the Illinois border AND Back.
50 miles: Ride to Monticello AND back
25 miles: Ride to Belleville AND back.
***COVID-19 note: We hope that group rides will be permitted by September. Indicate you're "Going" or "Interested" in the Facebook event for event updates. Take your training rides along or with your live-in family members.***
FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED AT THE START OF THE RIDE.
LIGHTS: Lights are highly recommended. We suggest a strong front light of at least 300 lumens and a working taillight.
DRESS: Please dress appropriately, it can get cool at night and it might even rain, so be prepared.
SAG SUPPORT: Will be made available through the generous donation of time and labor from our partners, Race Day Events
FOOD AND SNACKS: Will be provided by Fitchburg Family Pharmacy.
PLEASE: Practice social distancing.
NOT A RACE: This event is a non-competitive event, so please ride at a safe speed and enjoy the trail.
This ride is on the Badger State Trail. Riders are responsible for their own state trail passes.
Grab some snacks provided by Fitchburg Family Pharmacy before you hit the trail! Ride starts at 7pm.
Proceeds go to promote better bicycling in Fitchburg and to grow this event.
Helmet and long lasting headlight(s) required. Spare lights and batteries recommend.
This ride is mostly unsupported, however there will be water and snack stop locations along the route at:
- Monroe (Bubbler/ 24 hr. Bathrooms)
- Illinois Border
