Description

Since 1980, The Walleye Run / Walk has been a part of the annual Walleye Weekend Festival at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac, WI.

COME TO RUN OR WALK. A high quality 5 mile run through Lakeside Park and UW FDL Campus area, or if you prefer, a 2-mile run through Lakeside Park.  For the younger runners, we offer a 1 mile novice run for children ages 12 and under and 1/3 mile runs for the running tots ages 6 and under.  For the walkers we offer a 3-mile recreational family walk through scenic Lakeside Park.  

Registration Information

​Late registration and early race packet pickup will be available at the Sadoff Gymnasium at Marian University, 45 S. National Avenue, Fond du Lac on Friday, June 11 from 2:30 to 6 p.m.  You may also pick up packets for other friends or family members. Please park in the Stayer Center lot on the south side of the building and enter through the south doors.  All participants who register by June 7, 2021, are guaranteed a T-shirt.  T-shirt availability is not guaranteed after this date and may be limited or unavailable at early packet pick-up and on race day at Lakeside Park.  Poly-tech T-shirts will NOT be available after June 7. 

Early Registration: Through Monday, June 7, 2021  Late Registration: June 8-12, 2021 (online through June 10)

Race Day Registration: Saturday, June 12, 2021

9:15 a.m. - 2 mile wheelchair event (open)

10:00 a.m. - 1 mile kids run (age 12 & under)
10:20 a.m. - 1/3 mile run girls (age 6 & under) no parents
10:30 a.m. - 1/3 mile run boys (age 6 & under) no parents
10:40 a.m. - 1/3 mile run girls and boys (age 6 & under) with parents

Age group awards
5 Mile Run and 2 Mile Run
Top 3 male/female awards in 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

1 Mile Run (12 & Under)
Top 3 male/female awards in one year age divisions starting at age 7 through age 12.  All finishers will receive a certificate of completion.

1/3-Mile Run (6 & under)
ROOKIE (boys, no parents; girls, no parents): Awards to top 10 male/female finishers.
FUN RUN (boys & girls with parents): No Awards, non-competitive
All finishers will receive a certificate of completion.

Award Ceremony
There will be no formal award ceremony.  Participants should stop by the awards table near registration in the north shelter on Oven Island to pick up their prize.  Please make every effort to pick up your award.  Awards will not be mailed.

2021 Start Line Procedures

To help conduct a safe environment for our participants Start Line procedures is as follows:

  • Markings will be painted in the Start Corral for participants to stand on so that they distance themselves from others. 
  • We strongly recommend all participants to be masked while standing at the Start Line. 
  • We recommend participants continue to wear a mask after the race starts, and until they feel a comfortable distance from others.
