Lemke Legacy 5k

Jim and Nedra Lemke left a legacy of loving God and loving people. For many years they were youth leaders at Faith Community Church, impacting the lives of many youth, families, and other youth leaders. Jim and Nedra were also avid runners. When Jim and Nedra were killed in June 2020, we decided this event would be a fitting way to remember them and pass on part of their legacy. Funds raised through the Lemke Legacy 5k Run/Walk will be given to the youth group at Faith Community Church (Fort Atkinson) to provide financial help for students' participation in youth group trips and retreats.

The course is a simple out-and-back on the Glacial River Trail in Fort Atkinson, WI. The starting/finishing line will be at the Lions Shelter. We will have Nedra's cinnamon rolls as part of post-race goodies.

For parking, we have permission to use the Nasco parking lot closest to the Fireside. Or you can park on the streets in the nearby neighborhood. *There are no restrooms on site.

If you are unable to make it in-person, you can sign up for the virtual 5k option. Then you are able to "participate" by running/walking a 5k wherever is convenient for you. If we have extra shirts, we can mail tshirts to virtual participants.
