Description

The Fort Atkinson 4th of July Glow Run is a neon-colored nighttime 5K run and 1-mile walk. Participants wear white and get splashed with glowing red, white and blue powders at color stations along the patriotic course. The event starts at dusk, lighting up the streets of Fort Atkinson with runners glowing under blacklights. After crossing the finish line, there is a colorful glow party with music, dancing, glow accessories for sale, and more colorful powder throws. The event brings the community together for a luminous and fun way to celebrate Independence Day.

Day of Race Information

We are looking forward to seeing you at the upcoming 5K race this Saturday, August 26! Here are some important details to know for race day:

Location: The race will start and finish in Jones Park, finish line is the entrance to Jones Park. The address is 600 Janesville Ave, Fort Atkinson WI. Please arrive by 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM to check in and prepare. Bags and T-shirts and Race Bibs will be available to pick up at that time. 

Parking: Parking is available in the parking lots off S 6th Street, Park St, and Nasco Education lot. Additional street parking is available on Grove St. and surrounding side streets.

Check-in: Check-in and bib pickup will be from 8:00-8:45 AM at the registration tent near the start line. Please check in at least 30 minutes before the 9 AM start time.1 Mile Fun Run will begin at 10:00 AM. Check-in will be from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. 

Course map: A map of the course is posted below and will be posted around the park. The course is a loop that begins and ends near the registration tent/start line. Course Map

Awards ceremony: An awards ceremony will take place at 10:30 AM by the finish line. The top 3 overall male and female finishers from their respective age group will be given out at that time. 

Post-race snacks: Snacks and refreshments will be available after the race at the Jones Park Concession Stand. 

We request that you do not bring pets, strollers, rollerblades, or bicycles on the race course, or the glacier bike trail.
