Description
Some 5K's are hosted to raise funds or awareness for a good cause, some just for fun. The Fredonia Fire 5K is all about celebration! The Village of Fredonia is celebrating 100 years of the Fredonia Fire Department. 100 years of being the first ones there when you need it most. 100 years of saving a burning house when you thought you lost it all. 100 years of providing a hand to hold when your world was turned upside down. 100 years of firefighters dedication their lives to be of service to the community. Reconnect with neighbors, make new connections within the community, come together to celebrate the Fredonia Fire Department's 100 years of service.
Course
The run and walk will start and finish at the Fredonia Fire Station on Milwaukee St.
Parking
Parking will be available in the Divine Savior Catholic School/Church parking lot located off of S. Wilson St. Address is 305 Fredonia Ave. Fredonia. Parking will also be available on side streets north of Fredonia Ave. (N. Milwaukee St, N. Wilson St, Washington Ave.) Limited Parking on S Wilson St., St. Rose Ave.

There's more to do then just the 5K run/walk! Stick around after the race for music, food, beer, soda, and a parade.
T-Shirts
All participants who are registered by noon August 16th will be guaranteed a race shirt.
Awards
There will be awards for overall male and female finishers as well as top 3 finishers in the following age groups:
18 and younger
19-35
36-50
51-64
65 and up
Timing
The race is chip timed by Silver Circle Sports Events, LLC with a chip start. Your time will start when you cross the start line and stops when you cross the finish line.
