This race will be a swim and run event that will allow our NCAA Triathletes to compete in a collegiate event, while also leaving space open to the public for a similar experience. This race will consist of two events:
1) Open race- 400yd pool "snake" swim/5K run sent off in time trial format based on time.
2) Women's Collegiate Wave(s)- 825yd swim/5K run separated into waves of 16 based on time.
Both of these events will take place in the pool at Nicolet High School. The open wave will begin at 12pm on Saturday, in a time trial start format. Athletes will snake the pool, exit the aquatic center into transition and continue on to their 5K run, which will be 2 laps in total.
The collegiate wave will begin at approximately 2pm, the only difference in this wave will be that they share lanes and complete the entire swim before transitioning to the run. This wave will send out a group of 16 athletes approximately every 40 min (no more than 3 expected), grouped by ability levels.
On site registration will be allowed, but may be limited. There will be no refunds if the race has to be cancelled due to weather; however, we will still hold the swim and distribute t-shirts regardless of the weather.
Awards- we will give awards to the top 5 overall participants in the open waves and recognize the top 5 collegiate women and top 3 teams competing in the collegiate event-- with the overall team winner earning a plaque.
To guarantee t-shirt size, please order before 9/16.
