City Stadium Run for Veterans

What is the City Stadium Run For Veterans?  The best way to answer this question is to briefly explain the three goals associated with the run.

Goal One:  
To showcase historic City Stadium, home of the Green Bay Packers from 1925-1956.  In 2002, City Stadium was renovated to the tune of $300,000 to help embrace the proud history of the Green Bay Packers. Some of the features of the stadium you will see are a new sign, gate, memorial garden and historic plaques of Packers history when they called City Stadium home.

Goal Two:  
To feature and showcase the beautiful green parks and pedestrian trails along the 5K course.  The course will take you through three gorgeous parks tucked along the East River utilizing the East River Trail and the Cora Vanderperren Trail. You will get the feel of being in a small town setting when you are actually just minutes from downtown Green Bay!

Goal Three:

To help and showcase our Veterans. Each year we will earmark a Veteran cause for our proceeds and this year we are proud to announce Desert Veterans of Wisconsin will be receiving our proceeds for 2017.  Desert Veterans of Wisconsin is a veteran based non profit organization in Northeast Wisconsin focused on improving the lives of all area veterans through financial support, scholarships, and peer interaction at their monthly meetings.  There are two chapters in Wiscsonsin.  The Fox Vally Chapter and the Green Bay Chapter. This years proceeds will benefit the Green Bay Chapter. The first five years have generated over $43,000 for our worthy men and women who served our country.   LET'S KEEP THE BALL ROLLING FOR THIS WORTHY CAUSE!
