THIS IS WHY WE RUN....
Did you know that 6,200 children die every day from hunger related causes?
This is a sad reality and tragedy that is happening EVERY DAY! This is why we run....to help fund the Green Bay MobilePack for Feed My Starving Children. Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. 100% of your race registration goes to the food program for our local volunteers to pack the life saving food we call MannaPack Rice. This life saving formula is purchased by, and hand packed, with LOVE, by local volunteers and then shipped to mission partners in over 70 countries to feed God’s starving children. At just 22 cents a meal, a race entry fee of $25 is equivalent to 114 manna-pack rice meals!!
The Green Bay MobilePack will be packing the first week of October for the 6th consecutive year! Last year we packed an amazing 552,000 meals in just 4 days with 2,750 volunteers. This year we hope to pack over 600,000 meals with more than 3,000 volunteers at a cost of $132,000! Twelve local churches sponsor and plan this event each year with Feed My Starving Children.
Our course is set in quiet Howard, Wisconsin leaving the Green Bay Community Church which is the site of our mobilepack in October. The course takes you through the scenic Meadowbrook Park wooded trail for about a mile before returning to the church.
Please consider joining us the first Saturday in September every year for this charitable event!
