FAQ
Are there finisher medals for the race?
Yes, we will have finisher medals for all races, and then place medals for top 3 overall M&F in each of the 3 races.
Who will receive awards?
Top 3 M&F in each Race (Half/10K/5K)
Do you have a separate awards for walkers?
While we appreciate all of our participants we do not have a separate award category for walkers. We are excited to cheer for everyone to accomplish their goals and cross the finish line.
Are strollers allowed on the course?
Yes, we allow strollers in the 10K and 5K run/walks. We will also allow strollers in the Half so long as the pusher can maintain a running pace. The Half is a run while the 10K and 5K are being promoted as run/walk. We hope to see at the start line for the race that's the best fit for you!
Are dogs allowed at the run and/or on the event grounds at all?
While we love our furry friends, dogs are not allowed to run with participants, but they are welcome at the event to cheer on our runners from the sidelines. The event start and finish line and post race celebrations are being held downtown Green Lake at Town Square Community Center Mill Pond Terrace and Town Square Tap which are dog friendly spaces.
Can I walk the race?
Yes you may walk any of the races, please know we do have a time allocation for the course which is 3 hours 30mins. The time starts when the first participant crosses the start line of the first race of the day (half marathon) this is when the timer begins, the course closes 3 hours and 30 minutes after this time. We hope to see you at the start line for the race that's the best fit for you!

There is the option to select a unixex t-shirt (Bella and Canvas unisex tri-blend T) or a female high neck tank top (District Women's Perfect Tri Rocker Tank) when you register. Shirts (nor size) are guaranteed if you register after August 1st.

Please be aware that rain, snow, extreme heat or cold or other non-life threatening weather situations will not result in the cancellation or even the delay of the race. Only lightning, tornadoes or freezing rain could result in a delay of the race (maximum delay time shall be 60 minutes. If, after 60 minutes, the delay-causing weather system does not subside, it shall be announced that the race is canceled). Another reason for cancelling the event would be due to a Pandemic or other Life threatening act of God.
What is the refund policy?
If the race is canceled there will be NO REFUNDS. Green Lake Area Half Marathon, 10K & 5K has a NO REFUND policy. There are no refunds for any reason.*
Can I register my child for one of the events?
Yes! We welcome young participants and want to ensure they have a fun, safe, and successful experience on race day. As you register your child, please keep these key expectations in mind:
Prepare in Advance – Help your child become familiar with the race distance and route. Practicing the course ahead of time can build confidence and awareness of turns and directions.
Race Etiquette – Teach your child to be mindful of other runners. If they need to slow down or walk, they should move to the side to allow others to pass—no sudden stops in the middle of the course.
Finish Line Plan – The finish area may be crowded, so arrange a clear meeting spot in advance to reunite with your child after the race.
Knowing Who to Ask for Help – Our volunteers will be wearing designated shirts and can assist with directions and general guidance. However, they are not professional race officials or medical experts. While we do our best to ensure every participant stays on course and follows race rules, we rely on parents to educate their children about all aspects of race day.
