Description

Put your Birkie Green commitment into action as we prepare several hundred extra Birkie and Korte race bibs for recycling. We will remove the timing chips from the bibs so they can be accepted by our new recycling provider. Before we begin working on the bibs, we will have a tour of Republic Services Lake Area Landfill in Sarona, WI. After the tour we will have lunch in Hayward at a local restaurant (self pay). Work on the bibs begins after lunch.

The day’s events:

Friday July 19, 2024

9:00 am – Meet at the Birkie office in Hayward

9:15 am – Depart by carpool to Republic Services in Sarona, WI

10:00 am - Tour of Republic Services Lake Area Landfill:

Sarona, WI 54870

Noon - Arrive back in Hayward for lunch at a local restaurant (self pay)

1:00 pm – Begin the bib de-chipping process

Idea brainstorm session for Birkie Green and social time after the work session.

4:00-4:30 pm – Anticipated finish
