Children's Memorial Walk Fundraiser

Bo's Heavenly Clubhouse is hosting our Children's Memorial Walk Fundraiser, starting at the Horicon Education Center and heading to Theiler Park in Mayville. This event is designed to raise awareness, promote healing to families and educate everyone about child loss, all the while, honoring the children that have gone before us. This is a PUBLIC event so we hope that you will consider joining us! 

This event will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 on the Gold Star Memorial Trail.

Starting at: Horicon Marsh Education Center (Start of the Memorial Walk will be before the balloon arch at the Education Center).

Ending at: Theiler Park in Mayville (Kid's Carnival To Follow; 12pm-3pm)

The route is 2.7 Miles total; estimating about 1-1.5 hour to complete. 

This Fundraiser is to benefit Bo's Heavenly Clubhouse. 

Bo's hosts Child Loss Support Groups at Higher Grounds Coffee Shop in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and we host Children's Grief Groups in Mayville.  We send Care Packages that consist of child loss books, workbooks, journals, Bibles, coloring books, stress balls, tissues, candles, and more to families free of charge. We also help with funeral expenses for children that have died that are 18 years old and younger in Wisconsin.

EVENT DETAILS:

Registration: $50 per household OR $35 single person registrant 

•1 T-shirt included with registration.

•2 Tshirt for couple registration.

9:00 AM: Registration & Check In

10:45 AM: Welcome Message

11:00 AM: Memorial Walk Start

12:00 PM: Kid's Carnival at Theiler Park in Mayville

FAQ: 

•Can dogs come on the trail?  Even though this is a public trail- there will be lots of people in attendance. This means there’s risk to your pet and to people. Theiler Park will also have our Comfort Dogs - our therapy dogs available for families who are grieving. The dogs and their handles prefer no other animals outside when they tour. 

•Is this a run or walk?
it’s a memorial walk- however, the website that we prefer to use is titled runsignup. 

•Will there be a shuttle provided or how will we get back to our car?
Yes there will be a shuttle provided to get back to point A from point B. (Although most people who are coming with multiple attendants prefer to park most of their vehicles at the end of the walk at Theiler Park and carpool back to point A. The Horicon Education Center.)

• I want a free T-shirt, how do I get it?
Once you fill out the pre-registration form. The prompt will automatically come up to select your free T-shirt. if you pre-register two people then you get two free T-shirts. Sorry, no Youth . Sizes are available for free T-shirts. 

• Will there be an option to purchase more T-shirts?
A pre-order T-shirt form will come out within the next couple weeks. This will be in addition to the free T-shirts- so if you would like any other additional T-shirts this is where and how you will purchase them. They will also be available for sale the day of the event.
