Description
We are once again partnering with Copper Horse Crusade and this time supporting their rescue of broodmare #383 WARHORSE Challenges have partnered up with Copper Horse Crusade to hold our fourth ever Ride to Freedom event. This is an inexpensive event of $15 with $10 of the cost going to Copper Horse Crusade 501(c) 3 rescue. We will be sending out a sticker with a logo for this event that includes the number 383.
383 is a lucky mare because she found her way to Copper Horse Crusade. Through these 4 freedom rides that we have hosted thus far, we are getting an eduation and introduction as a group as to what kind of horses find their way to the kill pen. #809 was the first horse we helped as a group, a standardbred ex race horse with a competition record, #431 was a sweet older halflinger with banged up knees, Ricky was an amish buggy horse whose owner's children did not want him to go to auction and begged their father to send him to a rescue and thankfully he did, and now we meet 383, a sweet liver chestnut mare who has given her life to be a broodmare. Who will it be next? Thankful to all of you who have helped us support these horses by supporting Copper Horse Crusade.
This is the fourth horse we are trying to help with a short 1 day 1 horse event. My hope for this event is to garner enough funds to send to Copper Horse Crusade to help by giving them some support in this sweet broodmare, 383 and keeping her away from the slaughter pipeline. Let's help Copper Horse Crusade save one more.

How this works. Ride Walk Run or Drive - or spend time with your horse and dedicate that time or miles to this mare.
We will be sending you a momento of this rescue horse and we will be sending the $10 per entry fee to Copper Horse Rescue in Ohio. ONE HORSE-ONE RIDE- or session or really donate your time as a volunteer or hike in honor of this mare 383.
If we are able to have 50 sign ups, we to send $500. We have to have a short window for sign up because we want to send these funds to Copper Horse Crusade as soon as possible and then go onto the next horse and the next month if there is still interest.

"Liver chestnut mare, 14 years old, 15 hh. Training saved this horses life, as she was willing to show Julie in the feedlot that she knew how to do something other than have pretty babies. More information and photographs (and, hopefully, a forever name) to come!"
