Khiav Rau Cia Siab Virtual 5K Run/Walk

Cia Siab, Inc. is excited to host our second annual Khiav Rau Cia Siab Virtual 5K Run/Walk fundraiser! This event is both a celebration of Hmoob American Day (Sunday, May 15, 2022) and a chance to reflect on our individual, family, and community journeys.

Sign up alone or (better yet!) with a team and run, walk or wheel yourself for 5K to support our mission of building a culturally vibrant Hmoob community. This year's t-shirts will be designed once again by Shoua Yang  at Ceev Tseg Press. 

Race Information & Registration

The Khiav Rau Cia Siab 2022 5K event will be virtual with a flexible schedule. What does this mean?! This means you can participate wherever you are anytime between Monday, May 9th and Sunday, May 15th. 

You can register as an individual or as a team! Registration cost per participant is $35. All participants who register by midnight on Saturday, April 30th will receive a race t-shirt by mail. The race t-shirt is available in sizes Adult S - 3X. Anyone registering after the April 30th deadline runs the risk that their shirt will not be delivered before the May 9th kick off. We recommend that you register early! We can't wait to see you all rock these shirts!

Help us reach our goal of $10,000!

Your registration fee (minus expenses) and any additional donations you collect will directly support our bilingual, bicultural advocacy and prevention work. At Cia Siab, Inc., we provide culturally appropriate programs and services for Hmoob women and girls, youth, LGBTQ+ folx, elders, and others in the Hmoob community in La Crosse and its surrounding counties. Your donations make it possible for us to continue providing uninterrupted, unconditional support to our clients. Check out our website to learn about our programs and services!

We encourage individuals to fundraise $100 and teams to aim to raise $500 in an effort to help us meet our fundraising goal of $10,000... but most of all, we want you to have fun and enjoy doing something together!

Community organizations and businesses of all sizes are invited to consider sponsoring our event with monetary or in-kind donations. Sponsors will be publicly acknowledged through social media and at our community-wide Hmoob American Day celebration on May 15th at Myrick Park (details TBD).
