NRPA Directors School

Calling ALL Directors School participants, graduates, instructors, and other Parks and Recreation professional across the nation! Come run a Virtual 5K during the NRPA’s 2020 Directors School and help support the Edroy Jenkins Scholarship Fund! The scholarship fund is named in honor of Edroy Jenkins, a Directors School graduate, who was extremely determined to attend the school. Unfortunately, Edroy slept in his car at night due to a lack of financial support. Edroy humbly sat through Directors School classes during the day; and never told his fellow cohorts about his circumstances. Once the other students learned of Edroy sleeping in his car, they generously “passed the hat” in order to get him a hotel room! Thus, the Edroy Jenkins Scholarship was unknowingly formed! An official award in Edroy's name is awarded to Second Year NRPA Directors School attendees who have successfully completed the first year of the program; and have difficulty covering the cost. Please financially support the future of Year Two Directors School students. Thank you.
