Germania 5K Run/Walk

Bring out your inner Pirate and join us for the 4th Annual Germania Fun Run brought to you by the Germania Community Development Association(GCDA). This 5K Run/Walk is all about fun, family, & community! The route begins and ends at the Longbranch Saloon in downtown unincorporated Germania, Wisconsin.  This will be a themed run to match this year’s Germania Parade and Mock Election theme of Superhero. So dress like your favorite Superhero character for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights! Prizes will be awarded for best individual costumes and group costumes After the run, be sure to stick around for the 24th anniversary of the GCDA Annual Fundraising event starting at 11:00 am-Midnight in downtown Germania. So grab your friends and family, throw together some costumes, and join us for this fun event to kick off our annual Germania Community Benefit Association (GCDA) fundraiser.

9:00am - Let the Fun Begin!!!
Strollers and wagons are welcome!  However, for the safety of all participants, we encourage you to begin towards the back of the starting area.

-Pork Tenderloin Barbeque starting at 11:00am, served all day

-Parade in Downtown Germania at 1:00pm

-Silent Auction 11am-end of Live Auction

-Live Auction at 3pm

-Mock Election for Pirate of Germania

-Music, Dancing, Raffles, Bake Sale, Games, and More all day!

The Germania Community Development Association (GCDA) is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that was established in 1995. The GCDA's core purpose is to financially assist local individuals and families afflicted with major medical problems that have exceeded their ability to pay their living expenses. The GCDA also grants scholarships on a yearly basis to individuals from local high schools, and contributes to other local charities and organizations within the local community. The lives of local cancer patients, accident victims, and individuals with other health issues have all been made a little easier to manage over the years due to the contributions made to them from the GCDA. That is why we have decided to add this family friendly event to the festivities because every little bit helps.
