Proceeds from the run, walk and tug of war event benefits the Friends of Allyson Norland Scholarship fund. FANS awards college scholarships to graduating high school students in and around the Dane County area. Students nominate peers who exemplify the same endearing qualities and values that Allyson displayed on a daily basis. Some of these qualities and values include kindness towards peers, humility, a sense of humor, involvement in the community and/or athletics and willingness to help others. Our mission at FANS is to acknowledge teens who consistently go out of their way to show kindness and acceptance towards others ~ Kindness pays.
Allyson was an amazing, kind and active teenager that always strived to help others succeed. Allyson had a unique gift of making everyone feel welcome in her presence. Allyson lost her life in a tragic car accident on February 11, 2015 at 17 years of age. Allyson was a junior at Oregon High School in Oregon, WI.
