HELP in Motion Virtual 99k race
While we cannot hold the in-person event this year, we would love to have you continue to be part of HELP in Motion through our 99K Virtual Challenge.
You have two options:
1. Receive a full refund
If you would prefer not to participate in the virtual event, we will be happy to refund your registration fee.
2. Transfer your registration to the 99K Virtual Challenge
Your registration can be transferred to our virtual event at no additional cost.
The HELP in Motion 99K Virtual Challenge will take place throughout the month of October. You can earn your kilometers however you choose—walking, running, hiking, or simply moving in a way that works for you. You can participate wherever you are and at your own pace.
Each of the 99 kilometers represents one of the 99 victims of domestic violence who lost their lives in 2024, as documented in the annual domestic violence homicide report.
This is more than a virtual run. It is an opportunity to remember, honor, and refuse to forget the lives that were lost to violence.
Participants will also have the opportunity to receive event swag, if desired, and we have created a dedicated Facebook event where participants can share their miles, kilometers, photos, and experiences throughout October. We hope this will allow us to still create a sense of community and connection—even though we cannot gather together in person.
Each year, HELP in Motion will continue this tradition. The number of miles or kilometers will change based on the most recent domestic violence homicide report, allowing us to honor those whose lives were lost each year.
They lost their lives to violence. They should not be forgotten.
This is why we continue to show up.
This is why we continue to raise awareness.
This is why we continue to support survivors.
And this is why we continue working toward a community free from violence.

HELP in Motion is more than a run; it’s a movement to honor lives lost, support survivors, and raise awareness about domestic violence in our community.
HELP in Motion Virtual Challenge: From October 1–31, participants may join our HELP in Motion Virtual Challenge, committing to collectively log 99 kilometers (61 miles). Each kilometer will be dedicated to one of the 99 victims of domestic violence who lost their lives in 2024. Participants can complete their miles however and wherever they choose: walking, running, or hiking- while standing in solidarity with survivors and honoring those we’ve lost.

This year's 2k/5k/10k was canceled due to unforeseen challenges. If you already signed up, please check your email for options or call the Help of Door County office at 920-743-8785.
