The Big Leek 5K takes you on a scenic tour through the Strawberry Fields subdivision—ironically, not a single strawberry in sight. 🍓❌ But don’t worry, we make up for it with some good old-fashioned Wisconsin hills. After all, they don’t call it Kettle Moraine for nothing! Expect a few “rollers” along the way—just think of them as nature’s way of keeping things interesting (or making you earn that post-race snack). 🌱💪

🚀 Fast as a Leek – The speediest squad of 4 or more runners will take home a massive 4' trophy (because running like a vegetable on a mission deserves some serious recognition). 🏃‍♂️💨

🥦 Best-Dressed Veggies – The team sporting the most leek-tastic, farm-fresh outfits will also claim a giant 4' trophy (because dressing like a champion is half the battle). 🧅✨

Let’s celebrate the fastest veggies in the patch! The top overall male and female runners in each distance will receive a stunning custom award handcrafted by our friends at Ridgeway Woodworks. Because nothing says “champion” like a wooden leek keepsake!

🥇 Age Group Awards
Be the top onion in your bunch! The top 3 male and female finishers in 5-year age groups (starting at 0-14) will take home a custom woodle to prove their leeky greatness. Age groups continue in 5-year increments—because fast veggies come in all ages!

🎉 Finisher Woodles
🚐 Every participant receives a custom VW Van woodle, because nothing screams "chill, run, and eat your greens" like a retro van and a post-race snack. 🌿

🥬 Little Leeks Run for Free! 🏃‍♂️🧅💨

Kids can join the leeky fun with the FREE Little Leeks 1K (with a registered parent)! Here’s what they’ll get:

✅ A race bib (because official leekletes need one!) 🌟
✅ A finisher medal (to prove their veggie-powered victory!) 🏅
✅ And… one totally real surprise that may or may not exist: a pet goat, a leek-flavored ice cream cone, a lifetime supply of broccoli, and a kazoo! 😉🎶

⚠️ Important: Registration is required for kiddos to participate (we need to know how many tiny leeks are on the loose). Optional race shirts are available for purchase during registration if your little sprout wants to match the big runners! 🌱👕

Parking is available at the park—convenient and close to the start line!

📱Day of Registration

• Register early to secure your spot—it’s quick and can even be done from your phone!
• If you choose to register on race day, it must be done electronically; paper registration is unavailable.

💧Aid Stations & Restrooms

• One aid station is located along the course, which participants will pass twice. Please note: the station may be self-serve.
• Portolets are available at the start/finish line to keep you comfortable before and after the race.
