Sweating with Santa 2026
Join us for the 2nd annual Sweating with Santa 5K presented by Ruppel Chiropractic on Saturday, December 19th, 2026. This one-of-a-kind, family friendly event will be held INDOORS on the turf at the Greenheck Turner Community Center. Choose between the more laid back Family 5K Run/Walk or challenge yourself with the 5K Competitive Run. Kids 10 and under can join us in the Santa Sprint!
**To ensure everyone has enough space to comfortably complete the run/walk, we are offering two heats for the Griswold Family 5K run/walk. Each heat will have it's own time slot so please register for the heat that works best for you and your family. Heats are the same and there is no advantage to participating in one over the other. (We reserve the right to combine heats, if necessary).**
Proceeds from the event will benefit the GTCC youth scholarship fund and D.C. Everest soccer scholarships.

FAQs
Q: Are costumes allowed?
A: Absolutely! We want the most festive atmosphere possible.
Q: Are spectators allowed?
A: Yes! The best thing about this event is that spectators will be able to watch the whole race from the very same spot. We have plenty of great seating available in our upper level bleachers.
Q: Can I wear ear buds?
A: Yes. However, we promise some of the best race music with Belky from 95.5 WIFC as our official race starter and DJ.
Q: Do I need special shoes to run on the turf?
A: No. Running shoes will work great but you can also wear turf shoes. However, no metal spikes are allowed.
Q: Are races chip timed?
A: No. We will have scoreboards running that will show your race time.
Q: What is the race course?
A: You will traverse across the turf going around, down the middle and back around. We promise you won't get dizzy and there will be plenty of space to navigate other participants. 8 laps = 5K.
Q: What will be the temperature for the race?
A: We can guarantee 68 degrees no matter what the conditions are outside.
Q: Can I participate in more than one race?
A: Yes. Santa sprint participants may also take part in the family 5K.
Q: Are strollers or wagons allowed?
A: No. We have limited space and want to maintain a safe running/walking area for everyone.
Q: How do I get my race packet?
A: Participants will be notified via email with information regarding packet pickup.
