Description
Experience the newly open Forks of Coal Natural Area; nearly 5 miles of trails through historic and scenic point between Big Coal and Little Coal rivers at Alum Creek, West Virginia.
Why Orange? Put on your Blaze Orange and help promote safe practice for walking and running with nature during hunting season. Plus it will look great in the group photo. November is Runners' Safety Month and Hunting Season.
There will be awards for the first to finish female and male runners as well as other prizes and refreshments.
Early Registration Fee is $20; no charge for children under age 10. Late Registration Fee is $25. All fees are non-refundable. Early registration closes November 4, 2016, 11:59 pm. This is a rain, snow or shine event.
This event is sponsored in-part by a Try This West Virginia mini-grant and partnership with Bros & Bras.
Proceeds benefit Alum Creek Alliance for Community Development, a West Virginia registered 501(c)(3) charitable voluntary association whose mission is to improve community access to health, nutrition, emergency, social and recreational services.
