Description

Join us for the inaugural Leprechaun Dash 5K on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 9 a.m. Runners and walkers are encouraged to be festive! There will also be a Kids K for children 10 and under. The Kids K will begin at 8:45 a.m. before the 5K start in the parking lot near the pavilion.

Proceeds benefit the Harrison County Humane Society.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Leprechaun Dash will begin in the parking lot near the pavilion. You will head toward the basketball courts to get on the trail, follow the trail around the baseball fields and then turn left to go down the hill. Please stay to the right side of the road to allow any potential cars to travel up the middle. At the bottom of the hill, there will be a volunteer guiding you to turn and go back up the hill. Reenter the parking lot and turn left towards the start line. You will then make another loop, but turn right at the sidewalk by the ball fields after completing the initial loop. Make the short loop and then continue toward the pavilion for the finish.

RACE DAY INFORMATION 

Race day packet pick up and registration will be held at the pavilion at the Bridgeport Recreation Complex starting at 7:30 a.m.

Race start: 9 a.m. (runners and walkers)

Kids K start: 8:45 a.m.


REGISTRATION

Online or mail-in registration: $20

Race Day registration starting at 7:30 a.m., $25

Kids K is $10

PRIZES

1st and 2nd place male

1st and 2nd place female

PROCEEDS

All proceeds will be donated to the Harrison County Humane Society

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

  • Spectators must space out and not stand in course.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at the check-in pavilion for anyone to use.
  • Check-in will be spaced out and require you to stand spaced out in line.
  • All volunteers will be wearing masks.
  • Runners will need to wear masks before and after the race, as well as until a minute before starting. Runners will need to be staggered in the start line.
  • All participants will be required to sign an additional COVID waiver at check-in.
  • Starting times may be slightly staggered to aid in being socially distant.
