Join the Wellness Center @ WVWC and the New Community Church this November as we partner with the Buckhannon Community to put on a 5K Run/Walk that all can participate in! This is a great time to come out, exercise with your hundreds of your Buckhannon and WVWC neighbors, and enjoy time spent in community. You don't even have to run -- people of all skill level and ability are welcome!

Race Information: The Third Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk will be held at West Virginia Wesleyan College at the fountain on Camden Avenue, Buckhannon, WV 26201. It will begin at the fountain on November 15th, 2014 at 9:00am.

Registration and Packet Pick-up Information:
Preregistration will be $15 for the general public (with a $50 family cap) and $10 for WVWC students and staff. NOTE: The $10 WVWC discount CANNOT be obtained online, only in person. Racers and walkers may preregister until November 15th. There is a $20 Entry Fee on race day. Pre-registration is highly encouraged and can be done in two ways. All packets must be picked up at the fountain 8:30 a.m. on race day. Race day registration will be held on November 15th from 8:00a-8:30a at the fountain.

Parking will be available near the river walk/athletic fields, as well as off Camden Avenue next to Middleton Hall.

Course Description: The 2014 Turkey Trot is going to be a flat and fast course. The race will start at West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Fountain and continue through the town of Buckhannon.

Facilities: The packet pick-up and registration on race day will be at the WVWC Fountain. In the case of rain, this will be moved to the Benedum Campus Center located beside Fountain. Restrooms can be found in the Benedum Campus Center as well.

Awards: We will have awards for top 3 females & males and top runner in each age group.
