The Charles Town WV Day 5K is a race through some of the most prominent Arts and Cultural locations in Charles Town. Participants will run/walk a course that highlights the historic Happy Retreat and Fisherman’s Hall among other locations.
After the race, enjoy the Arts and Heritage Festival featuring vendors and artisans from around the region.
All 3.1 miles of the course consists of paved town streets. Much of the course is out and back. You will see the entire field pass you in the opposite direction throughout the course. Feel free to high-five and encourage each other. Experienced and beginners alike will find this course a lot of fun. This race will be chip-timed by 5 Runners
Kid's Dash will have three separate events. 500, 1000, & 1500 yard dash. These dashes will take place on S. Lawrence street between W. Washington & W Congress Streets. Start time for the kids dash is 10:00 These events happen just prior to the start of 5k run.
How to Register:
Race Day Registration opens at 8:00 (Cash only day of registration)
Preregistration Bib and timing chip pick up opens at 8:00. This is a shoe style chip system. A reusable chip is attached to your shoe prior to race and is returned after finish.
Race Day Registration closes at 9:30
Kids Dash begins at 10:00
5K Race begins at 10:15
Awards Ceremony at 11:15
Located at the intersection of Lawrence and Washington Street
Parking is on town streets and in public lots.
Line up along Lawrence St. to cheer on the finishers.
Top overall age group win medal.
Bib pick up will be at 830 at Start Finish line
