Due to COVID-19 the 2020 Race Is CANCELLED
After reviewing our options carefully there simply is no winning in this situation and we have to accept that the 2020 race cannot happen. We considered strongly deferring to the fall but the race calendars are nearly fully and we would have faced difficulty getting enough racers to make the event viable. Rather than cannibalize other races in the fall we have decided to cancel.
For those who have already signed up we will provide three options: (1) defer to 2021 (date TBD), (2) donate your registration to the Kanawha Running Club, or (3) get a full refund. We are working on emails and further details to you. Please bear with us as we navigate these issues. Also, please go to Appalachian Timing and find another race to run - Ricky and the staff at APTiming need our support.

Turn left onto Doc Bailey Road (turn is at the traffic light at the Speedway - it is the next traffic light after Kroger)

Description
Welcome to the Poca River 15K presented by the Kanawha Running Club! This is West Virginia's oldest road race and it comes with so much tradition. This year the course will return to the loop, going out Poca River Road North to Lanham Road across the new bridge and back Poca River Road South for a total of 9.3 miles. Awards will be given out to age groups 1st place in each age group (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) as well as top 2 overall male and female.
Shirts are $10 if you elect to order one (we will get details on the type and material soon) and registration is only $25 so sign up quickly as race day registration will be $30. You can also sign up for the Kanawha Running Club when registering and get a year's membership for only $10 and like all club members you'll get 10% off.
Packet Pickup will be only on race day. We will be set up around 6:30 race morning for pickup. If you are registering on race day please sign up by 7:30.
