The Freedom Run 5K will return this year! Join us as we celebrate Independence Day in Chester, WV on July 4, 2026 at 9:00 am. This event continues to grow each year and we anticipate another great turnout this July!

Participants should plan to arrive no later than 8:15 AM. Registration table will close promptly at 8:45 AM.
Registration
Register online or at the following locations: Hancock County Savings Bank and Summit Physical Therapy in Chester
Register early by June 19th or the cost of registration goes from $20 to $25.
Race Day
Start/Finish Location - 817 Carolina Avenue in Chester, WV.
Start Time - 9:00 AM
Registration will remain open at the designated locations and online until a minute before the race starts.
Packet Pickup
Race packets/t-shirts can be picked up at Hancock County Savings Bank, Chester WV on July 3rd from 2:00pm - 5:00pm to avoid waiting in line on race day! We strongly encourage early pick-up!
T-Shirts
Registration must be completed no later than June 19, 2026 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. You most likely will not receive a shirt if you register later than this date. Additional t-shirts will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
