Double out and back on 2 rail trails. The first trail, about 5 miles long, is paved & goes through the historic & restored Meredith Tunnel. The second trail is on crushed limestone & has a scenic view of the Monongahela River. The USATF certified course is ideal for a "pr". Finisher medals, knit hat & gloves to the first 400 finishers/registrants. . USATF sanctioned event. Hour long videos from the 2009 race & the 2013 race are on You Tube. Race news is posted on Facebook. Awards presented as runners finish. Lots of post-race food. 2015 start time has been moved up to 1pm

I-79, exit 139. Follow the signs to Pricketts Fort State Park. Race site is 3 miles from the interstate on a lightly traveled county road.
Races news will be posted on LVMC Run to Read Half Marathon. The event has been postponed a week due to icy conditions on the rail trail only once in the first 9 years. Weather related news & other race news will be posted on facebook. Should the race have to be postponed, this will be announced on facebook. There are no refunds for any reason.
Awards to the top 3 females overall and to the top 3 males overall. Age groups as follows: female 0-14 3, 15-19 3, 20-24 3, 25-29 4, 30-34 4, 35-39 4, 40-44 4, 45-49 3, 50-54 3, 55-59 3, 60-99 1 Male 0-14 1, 15-19 3, 20-24 3, 25-29 3, 30-34 3, 35-39 3, 40-44 3, 45-49 3, 50-54 3, 55-59 3, 60-64 3, 65-69 3, 70-99 1
Awards to the top 3 female race walkers overall and to the top 3 male race walkers overall. No age groups in the race walk. Walkers need to announce thier status as walkers when crossing the finish line.
Awards and finisher medals for both runners and race walkers presented as finishers cross the finish line.

Absolutely no refunds. The race has been postponed once in its first 9 years. That year runners & walkers were given the option of running for free the next Sunday, for free at a 5K that summer or for free the next year.
