Description
Marlinton, West Virginia on the banks Greenbrier River has loads of fun to offer from biking, hiking, running on the Greenbrier River Rail Trail, boating and swimming the Greenbrier, or slipping off the swimming hole on Knapps Creek. We enjoy the Daly & Todd Families hospitality and camp in their backyards.
This year we will be supporting the Watoga State Park Mountain Trail Challenge (Half Marathon and 5K Race). It starts at 8:30AM on August 11, 2018 from the Beaver Creek Campground at Watoga State Park. More information and registration may be found here - https://www.watogafoundation.org/watoga-mountain-trail-challenge-races/
The Watoga State Park Mountain Trail Challenge is not a WVMTR event.
We will still meet back in Marlinton for a post race food and beverages. Bring your favorite dish, fruit, snack, dessert or whatever for the potluck Saturday afternoon.
This is a WVMTR Club Event that has no registration fee, but participants must register on RunSignUp so there is an e-signed waiver and emergency information available. Members and non-members are welcome! Please bring a $5 donation for food and other amenities.
Everyone is Welcome!

Camping
There is plenty of flat yard to pitch tents at either the Daly or Todd homes. We even have room for a couple small campers. The houses will be open for use of bathrooms, showers, and kitchens. Friday dinner is on your own. The Saturday potluck will be on the banks of the Greenbrier at the Todd's.
Please plan to stay through Sunday as Marlinton has lots to offer, such as biking on the GRT, fishing, and paddling the Greenbrier River.
