Description
Challenging yourself to move for 150 minutes per a week for these 4 weeks. This can be walking, running, swimming, resistance exercises, playing basketball... Any type of movement. 20 min of activity = 1 mile, 2000 steps = 1 mile, 1 mile walking or running = 1 mile... 150 minutes of activity adds up to about 7.5 miles a week.
START FOR YOUR HEART encourages ongoing, regular physical activity, which can dramatically lower risk of cardiovascular disease. Regular exercise is also proven to improve mental health, and to lower the risk of obesity-related diseases. A single bout of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity can improve sleep, memory, and the ability to think and learn. It also reduces anxiety symptoms.
Accumulate at least 30 miles in the month of February and you will be entered in the prize drawing!
