Paw Paw Cross-Country Open 5K

Event: 2019 Paw Paw Cross-Country 5K Open Meet to benefit the Rivesville PTO 
Date: Saturday, May 25th 2019 @ 11:00 AM 
Location: Paw Paw Fairgrounds, Rivesville WV 
Registration: Pre-registration will be online at www.runsignup.com until 12 midnight on May 23rd. Registration will also be held on race day from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. The cost will be $20.00 if pre-registered and $25.00 after the deadline and on race day.  

Course: The course is a challenging combination of hills and wooded area around the fairgrounds with 400-500 meter stretch along the gravel roadway. This event is the perfect opportunity for coaches to test out new talent and for everyone to experience the phenomenon that is cross-country running. The event will be held rain or shine. So, there could be mud involved. 
Awards: There will be a custom trophy for the overall male and female finishers and similar medals for the top two male and female finishers in each of the following age classes: 
-Grade School (age 13 and under) 
-High School (age 14 to 18) 
-Open (age 19 to 54) 
-Masters (age 55 and up) 
Timing: The meet will be old-school hand-timed as this is an inaugural event and to raise money for upgrades at the Rivesville Elementary/Middle School 
Payment: Payment may be in the form of cash or check at the time you pick up your bibs or through the online form. Please make all registration checks and any other donations payable to the Rivesville PTO.  
Directions: If coming from South of Fairmont, follow I-79N to the downtown Fairmont exit and turn left onto connector. At the bottom of the hill cross the High Level bridge and turn right at the second light onto Adams St. Addams St veers left and turns into Pennsylvania Ave, then 119. The fairgrounds are on the right approximately 2 miles past the 7-11 store. If coming from North of Fairmont, get off I-79 at the Morgantown Mall exit and drive approximately 9.4 miles past the mall entrance. The fairgrounds will be on the left.
