Mud Sweat & Tears Trail Race - PATCH & Jack Garrett Ford Race Series

Spring showers bring muddy trails!  Join us for the second race of 2023 and get ready to tackle the improved Ben's Run Trail System.  The City of Spencer recently added color-coded arrows on all the trails for easier navigation.  Volunteers have also dug drainage ditches to help divert water.  Consider a hiking stick or trekking poles if there's rain the night before.

This 2 mile loop with rolling hills makes for a great workout.  Racers will start at the pavilion and travel around the COA until they reach Ben's Run Trail, then follow the red arrows and marked signs all the way around in a counter-clockwise direction until they reconnect with the trail at the bridge.  Right turn here takes you back out to Park Avenue and the trailhead.  Exit the trail system and take another right to finish back at the pavilion.  For a detailed look at the route on Strava click https://www.strava.com/routes/3074453315732548882

There will be a shortened 0.1 mile course for young kids who would like to participate but cannot complete the full 2 mile race.  They run 1 lap around the COA with supervision and get to cross the finish line and earn a medal.
