Crittenton Services is going VIRTUAL this year for our 5th Annual 5K! Formally known as Founding Father's 5K, we have decided to celebrate all the mothers out there during Mother's Day Weekend! Wife, mother, grandmother - whether they are here with us or have passed on, they are an important part of our lives. FUN FACT: The modern holiday of Mother's Day was first celebrated in 1908, when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother at St Andrew's Methodist Church in Grafton, WEST VIRGINIA. How cool is that?
WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Run on your own, or with friends! And your t-shirt will be shipped directly to you!
WHAT TO DO
1. REGISTER - Participate in our virtual 5K at ANYTIME, ANYWHERE and WITH ANYONE! Included with registration you will receive a West Virginia themed t-shirt, designed by a local Wheeling artist, Rachel Goodman. Additional t-shirts can be purchased.
2. RACE T-SHIRT - Your shirt(s) will be mailed to you along with directions for the race weekend. Any registrations received after April 26th are not guaranteed t-shirt delivery by Mother's Day weekend.
3. RUN - Race, run or walk on a road, trail, or even a treadmill during Mother's Day Weekend | May 11th & 12th
4. SHARE & TAG US! - Submit your race photos, time (optional) and race experience recaps by tagging us in your pics using hashtag #mountainmama5K or on Crittenton Services' Facebook page, so all of your friends and family around the world can see how YOU are making a difference, and racing for a PURPOSE!
