Friends of the Library Storybook Virtual Run 2020

During these challenging times, the Sheridan County Public Library strives to keep people feeling connected to their community.  Join us in our first annual Storybook Virtual Run, where you can dress up as your favorite book character and run, walk, jog, stroller, or crawl any time and distance you choose; whether it's a 2k, 5k, or 10k, the choice is yours!  All ages and abilities are welcome. The race will run for one week between Saturday, October 24th and Saturday, October 31st.  Register online.  print your own bib, and pick-up your t-shirt, sticker, and bookmark on October 23rd at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library.  Children 12 and under are FREE!  During registration, only add participants to your cart who are older than 12.  Additional t-shirts are available for $15 each by clicking the "store" button on the top right-hand side of the page.  Proceeds directly benefit your local library.  

Because this is a "virtual" event, you can run the route we've laid out that starts and ends at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public library (335 W Alger St.) and follows the walking paths by Whitney Commons, the YMCA, and Kendrick Park, or create your own route and track it using your favorite running app (Strava, Workout on Apple Wach, Mapmyrun, RunKeeper, Endomondo, and much more).  Make sure to snap pictures along the way and share them to our Facebook (Friends of the Sheridan County Library) and Instagram (@FriendsOfTheSheridanCoLibrary) pages with: #StorybookRun2020 #FriendsOfTheSheridanCoLibrary.  Who knows, you might even win a great prize from one of our sponsors for most creative costume!  You can also upload your results to this site and/or our social media pages for a chance to win the top time in each distance category (2K, 5K, 10K).
