Walk for Willy’s World is a community fundraising and awareness event dedicated to supporting children and families impacted by hidden disabilities. Proceeds raised help fund Willy’s World grants, programs, and inclusive community initiatives.

Explore the Willy’s World Community Resource Village, enjoy face painting, music, and family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon.

No. Registration is free.
While there is no cost to participate, we strongly encourage participants to fundraise or donate to support Willy’s World.

Fundraising is strongly encouraged but not required. Every participant helps raise awareness simply by showing up and walking with us. Fundraising allows you to make an even bigger impact for children and families.

Yes! Teams are welcome and encouraged. Teams can include families, friends, classrooms, businesses, or community groups. Team fundraising is a fun way to increase impact and participation.

• Arrival: Please arrive during the one-hour registration window.
• Parking: Free parking is available throughout Buhl Park. Volunteers will be on-site to assist with directions.
• Accessibility: Accessible parking and accommodations are available. Please contact us in advance if you require specific assistance so we can best support your needs.

• Distance: Approximately 1 mile (family-friendly; all fitness levels welcome).
• Format: Rain or shine. We walk in most weather conditions. In the event of severe weather, updates will be shared on our social media channels.
• Pace: Walk at your own pace — this is not a race! Families, strollers, and all abilities are welcome.
• Course Map: Buhl Park Fitness Trail.
• Timing: The walk typically lasts 30–45 minutes, depending on pace.

• Strollers & Wagons: Absolutely welcome!
• Coolers: Permitted for non-alcoholic beverages and food only.
• Comfortable Walking Shoes: Recommended for the 1-mile route.
• Sun Protection: Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are encouraged.
• Team Spirit: Show your creativity! Wear team shirts, tutus, costumes, or Willy’s World gear.
• Pets: Dogs are permitted in Buhl Park but must be leashed and well-behaved. Please be mindful of children and individuals with sensory sensitivities.

• Food trucks: Available at select locations (additional cost)

• Dietary restrictions: If you have specific needs, feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks.

• Event photos: Photos will be posted within 1-3 weeks after the walk.  Check our website and social media!

• Professional photographers: Photographers will be on-site!

• Share your photos: Share your photos on social media using #walkforwillysworld2026 - we love seeing your team spirit!
