Sabrina Sales founded the company to bring joy and inspiration to others, and this initiative is an extension of that mission—helping cancer patients feel loved, supported, and comforted during their most difficult times.

Fogo Azul New Jersey is a women-led samba reggae drumline based in New Jersey, rooted in Afro-Brazilian traditions and inspired by the founding work of Fogo Azul NYC and its director, Stacy Kovacs. We perform at festivals, parades, weddings, private events, and corporate functions across New Jersey and the surrounding region, delivering high-energy, unforgettable live entertainment. Whether you’re looking for a small ensemble for an intimate event or a full drumline for a large-scale performance, Fogo Azul NJ creates powerful, joyful experiences that energize audiences and transform spaces.

Our music is rooted in the samba reggae traditions of Salvador, Bahia, where percussion has long served as a form of cultural expression, resistance, and community power. We honor that legacy while building something uniquely our own—shaped by the energy, diversity, and creativity of New Jersey. We are committed to amplifying women’s voices through music and creating a space for artistic expression, collaboration, and collective empowerment.

Fogo Azul New Jersey was founded by Nina Mauceri to expand this work in New Jersey and build a vibrant, inclusive percussion community rooted in rhythm, connection, and joy.
