THE BASICS
Q: When and where is the 5k race?
The race is on Saturday, April 24th. Each participant/group will sign up for an arrival time (beginning at 9:00AM) in order to help keep social distance guidelines. The race is on the South Barrington campus of Willow Creek Community Church, located at 67 E. Algonquin Rd., South Barrington IL 60010. The starting line is near Entrance D.
Q: Who can participate in the 5k?
The Willow Creek 5k is open to all runners, walkers, and those with strollers, wheelchairs, or other special needs. Those who plan to walk or push strollers begin the race after the runners have started.
Q: Can my child participate?
Students ages 5–18 may register for the race and receive their own shirt and bib with timing chip. Childcare is not provided, and parents are responsible to supervise their own children.
REGISTRATION
Q: Will there be walk-up registration?
No, there will not be walk-up registration. You must register for the event before April 18th to receive the regular rate and by April 23rd to receive the late rate.
Q: Can I transfer my registration to someone else if I can’t make it to the race?
No. Since signing a personal waiver is part of the registration process, registrations may not be transferred.
Q: Can I pick up race packets for family or friends?
Yes! You’ll just need to sign for each packet you pick up.
Q: Can I receive a refund for my registration?
There will be no refunds for this event.

RACE-DAY DETAILS
Q: Is there a course map available?
Yes, we have a new course map this year to accommodate social distancing guidelines. The course map is available here:

Q: Can my child ride his/her bike or scooter during the race?
No. For the safety of other runners, no bikes, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, longboards, hover boards, etc.
Q: Can I bring my dog if s/he is on a leash?
No. For the safety of other runners, only service dogs are allowed on the racecourse.
Q: Where are the restrooms?
Restrooms will be available in Entrances A and D.
Q: Where can I receive medical attention?
Paramedics and an ambulance will be stationed in the main parking lot throughout the morning. A medical-aid station will be located near Entrance D before the race and near the finish line during the race.
Q: Will there be an awards ceremony?
There will be no awards ceremony due to social distancing requirements. Race results will be posted online for all race participants to view:

Q: Where can I park?
You will only be able to enter through the Algonquin Road entrance on race day and you can park in the A and B parking lot.
PLAN FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER
Q: What if the weather is bad on race day?
Participants’ safety takes priority. The race will be delayed or cancelled if any of the following weather conditions exist or persist:
• Tornado watch or warning
• Thunder, lightning, or an electrical storm
• Heavy rain
• Other major weather conditions
If threatening weather conditions force cancellation of the event, no refunds can be provided since funds were already spent in preparation for race day.
